Kommentar/Beschreibung

Even highly qualified graduates now need to submit more applications before receiving an invitation to an interview, and finding suitable job offers has also become increasingly difficult.

This situation requires a reconsideration of application strategies and a willingness to explore approaches beyond the conventional ones.

Anyone applying for a job in a field with few current vacancies will not get very far with standard tips or AI-generated text suggestions. Applications that go beyond the usual information and create a stronger, more individual link between the applicant’s personality and the employer or field of activity tend to be more successful. However, this requires applicants to conduct more thorough research
and to integrate personal examples from their own background that are relevant to the desired employer in a clear, visible, and professional manner.

Once you have secured an interview, alternative forms of self-presentation can be particularly effective in standing out from other candidates and creating a personal connection with both the employer and the position.

In addition, the workshop provides essential foundational knowledge on the topic of “Applying for jobs - digitally and analogously.”

Goals: You will learn how to adapt your previous application strategy to the new circumstances and how to structure every step of the application process accordingly.

In order to participate, participants need a laptop or computer with audio/video functionality. They also need a stable internet connection.
