Kommentar/Beschreibung

Aesthetics of Post-Human Pornographies and the Speculative Future of
Art Herstories invites students to explore the transformative intersections of feminist theory,
art history, and speculative futures through the lens of post-human and erotic representations.
This course critically engages with the ways in which pornography, art, and science fiction
challenge and reimagine historical narratives of gender, desire, and identity. Throughout the
course, students will explore critical texts in feminist theory, cyberpunk literature, queer theory,
and porn studies, while analyzing contemporary art, digital media, and speculative fiction.
Together, we will consider the role of art in shaping the future of sexual subjectivity, agency,
and embodied experience, questioning how post-human and feminist sensibilities offer new
ways of thinking about erotic power and the boundaries of representation.
